Basic swimming skills, bathing suit & towel required! The morning will be spent going over beginning board surfing techniques on the beach and in the surf zone. All participants will be given individualized instruction, exemplifying the instruction a student would normally receive in the class. Focus will be on personal safety and advancement from one activity phase to the next. Phases of teaching will include ocean safety, discussion of board design, equipment care and maintenance, prome body positioning and paddling, paddling through the surf zone, and standing up and riding a wave.
