Dance to Discover - A Progressive Approach to Teaching Creative Movement
The potential joy children find in dance is determined by the quality of their learning experiences. Just as they must be taught developmentally appropriate movement skills and progressions, they must become part of a progressive learning experience that offers appropriate challenges in movement creativity. This session will introduce participants to a creative movement teaching approach that takes students from teacher-dependent movement experiences to student-initiated projects.
