LifeLinkMD The Importance of AEDs
Sebastian will speak of his personal experience with Automated External Defibrillators (AED) and the lives they are saving nationwide. He will also explain the need to implement these life saving devices and just how simple it is to set up a program. Sebastian Hitzig was the victim of two separate, unrelated heart conditions each so deadly that few people survive either. Incredibly, Sebastian survived both. The second heart condition he survived was sudden cardiac arrest, which strikes 1000 people a day in America with no advance warning. Sebastian survived because his gym had an (AED) at the time of his cardiac arrest, and people nearby were able to respond quickly with this easy-to-use lifesaving technology to restart his heart.
