Motor Learning in the Gymnasium: Practical Applications of Contemporary Research |
Contemporary motor learning research can provide ideas and strategies for improving learning in physical education classes and in sports and athletics. This workshop will provide concrete implementation ideas for physical educators (K-12) and coaches by applying concepts from field based research on variability of practice, contextual interference, speed-accuracy tradeoff, designing demonstrations and selecting models, coincident timing, and locus of focus. There will be handouts and specific ideas for you to take back to your students and athletes. |
