Exploring Funding and Entrepreneurial Issues in Health Education
This interactive workshop will examine two significant issues related to the promotion of health education programming efforts. The first part will explore how entrepreneurial skills can be utilized to enhance health education. Specific examples will be provided and participants will learn skills helpful in launching a health promotion initiative. The second part will examine funding opportunities available through various health foundations, including hospital divesting foundations. Participants will be able to identify sources of funding, key elements of proposal writing and strategies for enhancing one’s likelihood of success in submitting proposals. Participants are encouraged to bring their own grant applications.
