Violence: Connections to Girls and Women in Sport
This workshop will explore how violence has penetrated our classes and teams on a regular and needless basis. Participants will begin to create a "grass-roots" movement that offers other paths that can be chosen as our "foremothers" in sport before us. We will challenge the notion that in order to be successful that we have to follow in the footsteps of our "brothers culture of sport". Today’s professional women and men can lead the way in the change that must occur before the culture of sport disintegrates to an era of shame. Will YOU help to lead the way back?
