Alliance Scholar Lecture: Lessons from Sport: Moving to Live and Living to Move |
“Lessons from Sport: Moving to Live and Living to Move” will focus on the unique contributions of sport and exercise to the physical, psychological and emotional development of children and youth. “Moving to Live” emphasizes the direct benefits of exercise and sport in lifelong health, while “Living to Move” explores the transferable skills of a healthy mental and physical life-style to all aspects of life. This session will include examples of contemporary research findings, ideas for promoting physical education and sport, and personal examples of benefits for participants of all ages and abilities. |
