Keep Exercising! Exercise and Mood Alteration: Key Considerations in Psychological Well-Being/Exercise Behavior |
Physical activity is associated with a variety of psychological benefits. Some of these include mood alteration, increased self-esteem and self-knowledge, stress management, decreased anxiety and depression in psychiatric patients, personal exploration of meaning, and opportunities for peak moments. Discussion will include reasons people do or do not choose to exercise and will identify strategies for increasing exercise adherence. |
