TOY Around With Teaching for Learning |
The 2000 NASPE Elementary Teachers of the Year will each present a lesson focused on teaching and assessing the National Physical Education Standards. Although there is a wide variety of teaching experiences, management styles, and personalities, the common thread among these six teachers is the belief that everyone should teach developmentally appropriate activities in a safe and caring environment. By doing this, we are assured that our students will become skillful movers, who understand and value the importance of a physically active lifestyle. Participants will leave this session with a better understanding of how to apply and assess the seven standards. |
