Using Brain Research as an Advocacy Tool for Promoting Quality P. E
“Exercise seen boosting children’s brain function.” Physical activity grows new brain cells.” One of the best ways to maximize the brain is through movement.” Neuroscientists are advocating the importance of movement and physical activity in the learning process. This presentation will outline a summary of the most recent brain research that will provide physical educators with valuable advocacy tools. Session content includes lessons and activities to demonstrate how the brain works, how it remembers and retrieves information, how to facilitate learning styles through the multiple intelligences, and how to prepare the brain best for learning. Come ready to MOVE!
