Real-World, Authentic Assessment and Its Use in Practice |
A motor development and elementary physical education specialist team up to present assessment strategies which are authentically connected to the creation of instructional interventions, but also founded upon research. Catching and kicking will be used to demonstrate how research-based developmental sequences can become the basis for authentic, real-time assessment in a typical gymnasium environment. Instructional interventions will be demonstrated that will help teachers understand both the key elements of developmental patterns and ways in which teachers can promote motor skill learning. This is an interactive and active participation session. |
