Assessment of Student Outcomes and Program Effectiveness at Sonoma State University |
This session will demonstrate a fully integrated outcomes assessment process that has been established according to the California State University, Kinesiology Competencies. These competencies were integrated into the existing curriculum with a model and process for assessing program effectiveness toward these outcomes. Presenters will demonstrate various stages of this process such as assessment of the existing program, addressing outcomes through course objectives, showing direct relation between outcomes, assignments, and artifacts, establishing a process for gathering and organizing artifacts as evidence of student competencies, and a collaborative process of gathering, processing and analyzing quantitative data for program-specific feedback. |
