Life as an HPERD Administrator: Peaks, Pits and Possibilities
The purpose of this session is to examine the trends and issues that will change the nature of the administration of academic units in health, physical education, recreation and dance related programs. Issues such as fund raising, student recruitment and retention, faculty recruitment and retention, program promotion and marketing, distance education, and technology integration will be discussed. In addition the presenters will share their collective wisdom about what it takes to be a “successful administrator.
