Teaching And Learning Tai Chi: Challenges, Concerns And Approaches
Tai Chi, known as a type of low impact exercise and soft martial arts, is getting nationally popular for its benefits on health, wellness and physical fitness. This presentation will focus on: a) addressing the major challenges and concerns of teaching and learning Tai Chi; b) introducing various effective teaching methods and strategies; and c) proposing different Tai Chi instructor training programs. A multidimensional approach consisting of lecture, discussion, physical demonstrations and movement performance will be used in the presentation. Useful information and positive experience will be provided for Tai Chi learners and teachers.
