Constructing and Evaluating Knowledge Tests in HPERD |
This session will provide common sense instruction on how to construct test items for knowledge tests, with an emphasis on objective testing (i.e., multiple choice and true-false items). Topics covered will be choice of item format, construction of a test blueprint, common errors to avoid in writing test questions, evaluation of problem items, and correcting scores for guessing. This session will be supported by many practical examples. Attendees will also receive an information packet. Target audience: HPERD educators and practitioners who want to assess knowledge of clients or students. |
