The Push-Up Test: How Much Do we Know About It? |
The push-up test is used in most youth fitness tests like FitnessGram. Do age and gender of participants, test protocol, scorer expertise, etc. affect the goodness of the push-up test scores? Are push-up test scores similar to pull-up test scores and scores on other alternative tests in FitnessGram? Findings will be reported from the published research, unpublished dissertation research, and unpublished data. Based on these findings, the speaker will attempt to answer some of the questions posed and draw conclusions about what is known. Audience input will be encouraged at the end of the presentation. |
