International Perspectives: Yang Style Tai Chi Chair Activities |
The American version of Chinese tradition, Tai Chi Chair is for the physically or/and medically challenged individuals. It is a modified system of movements influenced by the Yang style of Tai Chi Chuan that can be called meditation in motion. Participants will learn how to meditate even when they are engaged in physical and cerebral activity. Sequentially arranged 42 gentle movements, using multi-sensory approach, will be taught. Adaptation and overloading are the key principles of teaching Tai Chi Chair. Audience must come dressed to participate. |
