A Hospital-University Partnership: The Dream and The Reality |
Presentation of the lessons learned during the first four years of a business partnership (The Physical Performance Institute) between an area hospital and a comprehensive university. The university offers clinical and prevention programs including: fitness assessment, stress management, skill analysis, and continuing education. The hospital uses the facility to house their outpatient therapy clinics (physical, aquatic, and hand). The benefits and pitfalls will be discussed so that others may learn from our experiences in setting up a partnership with an external organization. |
