Safe Play is Developmentally Appropriate
Play patterns used by children change with time and environment. Safety during play must be focused by supervision and the physical play setting, to fit the needs of children as they develop physically, emotionally, socially, and intellectually. The focus of this session is on appropriate support systems for safe play as developmental needs in children vary. Count on the consideration of children, the patterns used for play, and the manner in which adults can assist children as they learn through play.
