Making Money for What You Need |
As education funding from the State legislature continues to decline and grant funding becomes more competitive and restrictive in use, academic departments are looking beyond fundraising and sponsorship activities to generate discretionary funds for needs on an annual or ongoing basis. Departments are becoming more creative and entrepreneurial in their operations to create their own revenue sources to accomplish the academic goals of the unit, professional development needs of faculty, and educational needs for students. This program will present a variety of these successful activities from academic departments around the country that may give you some ideas of your own. |
