Making a Case for New Athletic/Recreational Facilities |
During the coming years recreation and sport facilities that were built in the 60’s and 70’s will come of age. Minnesota State University faced such a dilemma. The sport and recreation facilities were a risk management nightmare and were constantly in need of repair. Facing these continuous problems with increased maintenance and cost, the university, recreation department, athletic department and department of physical education put forth a campaign to make a case for new facilities. They focused on state legislators, alumni, friends, and students to stress the importances of new sport and recreation facilities. |
