Minimizing The Risk Associated With In-Line Skating, Skateboarding, and Bicycling |
This presentation will examine ways of minimizing the potential for injuries in the increasingly popular activities of in-line skating, skateboarding, and bicycling. Elementary, middle, high school, college teachers, and community recreation specialists who currently include these activities in their curriculum or programming will benefit from this exploration of issues associated with these relatively high-risk activities. Topics to be addressed include the necessity for and degree of safety equipment, appropriate instruction, legal issues, and integration into school curriculum. |
