LATEBREAKING National School Health Education Initiatives |
This session will provide information regarding the American Academy of Pediatrics’ Health, Mental Health, and Safety in Schools National Guidelines Project, including the national review process for the 14 topic areas included in the guidelines. The National Board for Professional Teaching Standards will present an overview of the work accomplished thus far on the Health Education Professional Teaching Standards.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is developing Guidelines for School Programs to Prevent Unintentional Injuries and Violence. The session will provide an overview of the key recommendations outlined in the guidelines, and discuss the timeline for their dissemination. |
