Collaboration for School Health Education, The Alabama BodyFun™ Project
The Alabama BodyFun™ Project, funded by the Cancer Research Foundation of America, offers technology training and tele-mentoring to teams of classroom teachers, library media specialists, school nurses, and child nutrition program managers to increase student understanding of health, fitness and nutrition. This collaborative demonstration project increases comfort and confidence for elementary and middle school health education instruction and increases use of technology such as software, Internet websites and discussion groups, for peer support and student instruction. Session participants will review the Dr. Health’nstein’s Body Fun interactive software, related websites and training materials.
