Advancing School Health Coordination: The Promises and the Challenges |
Through facilitated discussion an interactive panel will report on the progress made in promoting the role of the school health coordinator. Participants will learn how the American Cancer Society’s National School Health Coordinator Institute has developed leadership to restructure schools to become health promoting environments that enhance learning. Panel members will discuss several aspects of the project including: promoting coordinated school health programs (CSHP) through service learning, developing district support for CSHP, the impact of CSHP in the schools, developing CSHP leadership teams, and lessons learned in developing a CSHP. |
