AAHE/School K-12
Using the School Health Finance Project Database
Presenters will demonstrate two School Health Finance Project websites maintained by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the National Conference of State Legislatures. These websites provide timely information about federal, state, and foundation funding that can help health educators identify resources to address the Healthy People 2010 objectives and support coordinated school health programs. Presenters will (1) demonstrate how to access the databases, (2) share ways to use the databases and blend funding streams and strengthen partnerships, and (3) describe how to incorporate the databases into pre-service health education training.
