Promoting Sensitivity to Diverse Populations: Activities for the Classroom Teacher |
In the 21st century professional educators find themselves teaching students from various ethnic, religious, and social backgrounds. This diversity, while enriching the curriculum, may also challenge educators to eliminate prejudice and stereotypes that hinder the classroom experience. This workshop will demonstrate the need for tolerance education, allow participants to role play multicultural awareness activities, and encourage participants to develop their own diversity awareness programs. |
