Adventure Education: A Fit with Changing Curriculum Standards |
Current educational trends have focused attention on the need for explicit outcomes and standards in physical education programs at both state and school district levels. Discover how adventure education classes both develop character and align themselves with three of NASPE’s Content Standards in Physical Education: responsible social behavior, respect for differences and activity for challenge. In a lively hands-on session, participants will experience how to use games and problem-solving initiatives to teach and integrate personal living skills into physical education units. Ideas for assessment techniques will also be shared. |
