Implications for Professional Preparation of Special Educators in Health Education
The increasing realization that students with disabilities must receive health education has prompted teacher preparation institutions to establish interdisciplinary competencies for special educators. The panel of presenters will discus and present the results of a National Preservice Forum, hosted by the AAHE HIV Project, regarding the standards and professional preparation needs of special educators in health education, including HIV prevention.
