Practical Sampling for Health Professions |
The advantage of random sampling has long been recognized but it sometimes is difficult to implement when a listing of the population isn’t readily available or the data of interest are difficult to retrieve. This presentation identifies ways of selecting valid samples when conventional sampling is not possible or too costly. Examples include sampling records from file cabinets, numbers from telephone directories, extended networks and other techniques. |
