Pedometers Assessing Your Classes: Keep Them Moving with Cultural Games |
Integrate technology in P.E. glass by using pedometers for motivation and assessment. By challenging students to reach high step counts in class, lessons now become multi-dimensional. While students are focusing on skills and activities, they are equally working to maintain a high step count. Recording step counts allows instructors to accumulate assessment data. We will introduce this concept in tandem with three activities popular in elementary and middle schools in Israel. These new games enhance movement, are excellent lead ups to soccer and perfect for field day activities. |
