Same Sex or Peer to Peer Sexual Harassment: Can You Be Held Liable? |
Knowledge of same sex and peer to peer sexual harassment may save members of AALR and AAHPERD time and money in avoiding litigation. Male to male harassment in the locker room isn’t just “horseplay” anymore. Two recent Supreme Court Decisions have awarded monetary damages from a business and a school system which were held liable for sexual harassment they failed to prevent. Attendees will learn: what constitutes sexual harassment, strategies to prevent costly litigation, guidelines for sexual harassment policy, and suggestions for implementing policy in recreation, sport or school settings. |
