Practical Health-Fitness Assessment for Recreation Therapists
The current emphasis on health-related fitness is a concern recreational therapists need to address. Unfortunately, many therapists either lack the background for fitness testing and prescription or their present job demands are such that fitness is not a key priority. As a result, this places them in a position of being out-of-tune with what is current. This presentation will explain protocols to be used in even the most budget restrained program and with clients possessing various disabilities. Attendees will receive resource materials and gain experience in test administration. Some audience participation will be required.
