Building Health Educators’ Skills With a Public Health – University Partnership |
Frequently, public health and voluntary health agencies employ individuals from varied backgrounds to plan and conduct health education projects and campaigns. In Ohio, prior to 1997, there was no mechanism to provide basic information and health education skills to these employees. The Public Health Education Principles course (PHEP) was created through a special collaboration of the Ohio Department of Health, the Ohio Society for Public Health Education, and the Ohio Association of University Health Educators. Those attending this session will learn how to plan and implement the PHEP, including the format, content, budget, materials and evaluation. |
