Tobacco Reduction in the Tobacco Growing State of Kentucky
How does one implement a tobacco reduction plan in a tobacco growing state? This program will discuss strategies to overcome barriers in a resistant culture. A brief overview of the burden of tobacco in Kentucky and the overall state Tobacco Prevention and Reduction Plan will be discussed. Specific programs, curricula, and activities have been successful in reducing tobacco use in schools, worksites and other community organizations will be presented. Audience members will be able to identify research-based methods of tobacco reduction to implement in their own organizations.
