Mindful Movement: An Introduction to the Pilates Method & Somatics |
Mindful Movement is a method of conditioning based on the Pilates Method. It is being utilized for training dancers and physical educators in rehabilitation and as a safe form of strength training for the general public. The participant will learn about proper alignment of the skeletal structure so muscles do not overwork, resulting in economy of movement. This session includes a lecture/demonstration and hands-on participation and is suitable for all people involved in healthy movement of the body. |
