Plenary Speaker, Jacques d’Amboise --Encounter with Dance |
In this presentation, Jacques d’Amboise will introduce his many chosen paths in dance and theater education as they relate to the life experience and to our future -- our children. He will touch on his interest in recent brain research that outlines benefits of dance in a child’s cognitive development. Central to the message of this event is awareness of the importance of arts-in-education. Like a modern Johnny Appleseed he has dealt with such through his seven-month odyssey of hiking the Appalachian Trail –2,160 mikes –to teach children at community “off-trail” events. |
