African Dance in the New Curriculum
Teaching African dance and African culture in an American curriculum provides a journey into the rich fabric of American culture. It is physical and rhythmic as well as educational, social and spiritual. The goal of this training session is for both teachers and students to have a better understanding of history and their place in this multicultural world while learning technique, -- including the Afro-Caribbean, North American and Latin styles that have evolved from African dance.
